It seems like most people have finally let it sink in that if you want to stay as healthy as you can you have to drink plenty of pure clean water. It is no longer just the very health conscious that are guzzling down water everyday, but just ordinary people who do the little things to keep their bodies working properly. You do not have to be a heath guru to keep water on hand throughout your day and drink it instead of sugary sodas or coffee drinks loaded with caffeine and calories.
There are a couple of drawbacks to the huge pure water trend that is sweeping not only the nation, but the entire world. First of all, buying those small plastic bottles of water can get pretty expensive by the end of the week. You can spend several dollars a day if you drink two or three bottles, depending on which brand you buy. Of course, worrying about a brand of water sounds really silly, but some are more pure than others.
Then there is all of the additional waste we are creating. Water bottles are literally becoming like cigarette butts that smokers have been discarding for years. Every where you look you see them. You would think that people that are health conscious would also be environmentally conscious too, but apparently not.
The wasted money issue and the trash waste issue can both be solved very easily. Investing in a home water filter is the perfect solution. You can have pure water at home instead of having to buy it at all. Use your plain old tap water to fill a counter top water filter and it will be convenient having it right there to drink at home or to fill up reusable water bottles to take along with you during the day. Using a reusable plastic bottle will save tons of excess garbage if people would just do it.
Of course, not all water filters are the same, so you will want to do a little research into which kind you would like to have in your home. Most people do not want to invest a huge amount into a complicated water filtration system, but you can get a gravity operating water filter that will sit right on your counter top or stand. These use no electricity and are very simple to assemble and keep clean. The filters can last for several years or longer with the right care and cleaning. Once you become accustomed to having this great clean water right at your fingertips, you will wonder why you spent all of that hard earned money on expensive bottled water that is no better than what you now have at home!
