To this day the Coca Cola Company imports coca leaves into the states. Cocaine is made from coca leaves in case you didn't know.

This is a funny situation, it is not very well known but it turns out the Coca-Cola Company that endorses Spotify and that practically created Santa Clause, they are responsible for selling one hundred metric tons of dried coca leaves to a company called Stepan. Stepan then sells the ingredients to Mallinckrodt Incorporated (no it isn’t misspelled).

Mallinckrodt in Maryland, New Jersey is the only legal producer of cocaine in the United States. Everyone knows the history of Coca-Cola, how it was created with the miracle ingredient that presumably cured all diseases and fixed any disorder.

It wasn’t until around the 1922 when cocaine was banned from production in the U.S, but the Coca-Cola Company pleaded with the government to allow them to continue with their production. So the U.S. government conceded and now the only coca distributor in America is the Stepan Company, which is a company created by the same people who created Coca-Cola.

So even though the government is supposedly working their nice little “War on Drugs”, they are still buying more than 100 tons worth of coca leaves, which roughly creates about 777 pounds of cocaine which is worth just about 16.6 million dollars. Now the good government police force is working hard to get marijuana street vendors in jail for a good ten years, but they don’t seem to mind when the largest soda company in America hauls over literally hundreds of pounds of cocaine.

You are probably saying something like, “sure that is all well and good, but how does that affect me in any way?” Well take into account that you know that soda pop is going to bloat your belly and rot your teeth, there is reason enough right there to stop drinking it.

Factor in that the Coca-Cola Company is performing activities that would be illegal for anyone else, and now you a cause to quit drinking the coke. Do it so that you can be a healthier person, and also so that greedy companies that perform illegal activities won’t make quite as much money as they are.

There are a lot of reasons you may like to drink coke, it being slightly addictive because of the caffeine added could be one of the factoring reasons, but knowing that it is harming your body and also harming this country are two reasons enough to boycott anything. So when it comes to drinking things for pleasure stick to innocent water or homemade lemonade.
